Case: The clock case has been made of solid French genuine Lime wood only. About 12 and 16cm high thick pieces of wood. First the high schooled selection glueing drying and then the machine carving; during it the operator verifies continuosly the cut out of the extra parts of solid wood not needed for the real carving. Fully hand made carving and then sending by the artist in Sanguinetto village: “Mancasola Pietro” master since about 25 years. Clock sculpture includes: base, bottom and the top part. Clock glasses are 5mm thick bevelled all around manually by artisan Mr. Giovanni Casella. Hinges have been made of solid brass and gold plated.
Finish: Medium walnut finished water based in 6 times. Finally the half shiny acrilic transparent, according to the new laws for the safe environement.
Movement: Original German mechanical movement from the company Kieninger, they do clock movements in the Black Forest since 1912 made of solid high thick brass. It plays the Westminster chime quarterly and the strokes hourly over the bell chime. Accessories also include: named clock hands, genuine brass lire pendulum and weights made by the Jaeckle also original German company since 1888. Clock movement features: self oiling, self centring, self regulating and you may rotate minute hand counterclockwise trouble free. Moreover clock may not chime night time from 10pm untill 7.15am automatically. Clock winding weekly (even more about 10 days) by pulling down the free part of each chain and so making the weight moving up. It goes down 12cm per day making the clock running and chiming.
Warranty: We grant 2 years totally worldwide. It has the operating and starting booklet in 16 different languages included. Clock wood has been selected in 16 years so it's dry and safe itself. About the movement package it includes the dial hands and the bells once. So simply open the top back part, it comes off simply unscrewing 2 gray screws and if you send or bring back the old one we give you a new clock movement package for free during the first 2 years and later at sole its cost. Anycase you do not need to repair or to ask people to come to your house. Simply self made replacement and per post sending back the old one to us.

During the 70's and 80's that clock was small delicate and rare. Made specially for the rich Japanese enterprises that wanted to display unique pieces of Italian artisan woodworking to their customers and local employees. At that time we had named dated signed it in the wood carving to each customer. Always on limited edition because the high thick wooden pieces have been selected personally by founder Mr. Antonio Altobel only. It requires the high skilled about the wood selection and the natural vertical drying experienced during many years (about 1cm per 1 year so pieces 16cm thick means they have been waiting vertically for 16 years before the woodworing) can be possible due to the 60 year long experience in the family workshop downstairs the home together with the worlwide exporting and customers attending.
