Case:
Clock case has been made totally in solid French Lime wood. First Mr. Carlo used the carving machine to cut off the not needed part of the solid wood for doing the carving inside the raw piece and then Mr. Franco hand carved the deep carvings in the sides and in the front and in the bottom 2 small doors. Also the top rich carved decoration and the ones at the very bottom. Finely we did a nice softly glasspaper sending, in order to permit an accurate water based medium Walnut finish all over interior and exterior. Mr. Stefano did a great finishing half shiny because of the many parts of wood desassambled before polishing, assembled by screwing them eachother during the movement testing period. Just the back side is made of finest mdf and Tanganika burl plated because of to mantain stable all the rest of solid wood made case. Mr. Giovanni Casella did a nice hand bevelled 5mm thick glass all around in top and even more brass leaded in the bottom glass too. The top wide arch allows the moon phase dial to stand out and to show the moon position dayly movement. Knowing the next full moon was used for travelling night time too. The clock top part around the dial may slide out/taken off to the front fully for an easy access to the movement package. The 2 small doors were used for the home liquors in the past and the 6 side glasses by the same time may show: their own bevelled border and the solid wood clock sides; and for the nice luminous interior to the dial and to the pendulum swinging. All doors have the metric hinges.
Movement:
Original German mechanical movement from the company Kieninger, they do clock movements in the Black Forest since 1912 made of solid high thick brass. It plays the Westminster chime quarterly and the strokes hourly. Accessories also include: moonphase dial/face and the genuine brass lire pendulum and weights all them German made by the Jaeckle company since 1888. Clock movement features: self oiling, self centring, self regulating and you may rotate minute hand counterclockwise trouble free. Moreover clock may not chime night time from 10pm untill 7.15am automatically. Clock winding weekly (about 10 days totally) by pulling down the free part of each chain and so making the weight moving up. It goes down 12cm per day making the clock running and chiming.
Warranty:
We grant 2 years totally worldwide. It has the operating and starting booklet in 16 different languages included. We also will include usb pen drive showing start up videos in English language too. Clock wood has been selected in 10 years so it's dry and safe itself. About the movement package it includes the dial hands once. So simply open the top door, it comes off to the front simply by unscrewing the 2 gray screws and if you send or bring back the old one we give you a new clock movement package for free during the first 2 years and later at sole its cost. Anycase you do not need to repair or to ask people to come to your house. Simply self made replacement and per post sending back the old one to us. Moreover the full top part of the clock slide to the front as per a drawer for an easy access to the movement pacakage.
